Paying for books
Payment methods, bank transfer, receipts and gifts.
The checkout shows the payment methods the ministry has switched on (for example card, PayPal, Paystack or bank transfer).
- Bank transfer: after placing the order, the payment page shows the account details and the reference to use. Choose the currency you pay in at checkout ("Pay in"): it decides the payment methods, for example Paystack for naira. For payments in euro, scan the payment QR code with your banking app (in the app: scan QR code, GiroCode or photo transfer) and the details are filled in. The other QR codes on the website (order code, "open on your phone") are not payment codes. Your books arrive once the ministry has seen the money on its account; you get an email.
- Receipts: a PDF receipt is attached to the payment email and can be downloaded at any time from Orders.
- Gifts: at checkout, tick "Send these books to someone else" and enter their email address. They receive the books in their own library.
- Unpaid orders expire after a while; you can simply order again.
