Day 05 of 31

How He Loves Me

A love that holds no bounds

Today's Scripture

“He escorts me to the banquet hall; it's obvious how much he loves me.”
Song of Songs 2:4 NLT

Opening thought

One of the heartfelt desires of every soul is to love and to be loved. Yet love is very scarce. Most times, when people profess that they love you, it is actually not love. It is either infatuation or delusion.

The devotional message

Love Cannot Be Hidden

Love is active by nature, and it is always expressed. You cannot cover it. When you see a man who is in love, you can easily tell. Love can even make you lose your appetite for food. Love is food for the soul. It garnishes the heart and makes it blossom like the flowers.

Love Defined at the Cross

The only One who gave us the real definition and description of love is Christ. His love for us led Him to the Cross. God demonstrated His love toward us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. What manner of love is this, that the Father has bestowed upon us! He thinks about us; He truly cares for us.

He Still Loves You

Today I want to remind you that God still loves you. It does not matter what you are going through or how wretched you are. His love holds no bounds. His love is universal. He has brought us into His presence through His Son. How much He loves us!

If He takes care of the birds and the cattle on the hills, how much more will He care for you?

Today's quote

Closing prayer

Father, thank You for loving me with a love that holds no bounds. Thank You for showing me what true love is through Jesus Christ, who went to the Cross for me while I was still a sinner. When I feel unworthy, remind me that You still love me. You care for the birds and the cattle on the hills; help me to trust that You care even more for me. Fill my heart with Your love, so that it shows in how I love others. In Jesus' name, amen.
