Fashioned by God, called to walk in His will

“In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:”
Opening thought
God is supreme, and He reigns above all things. He made man in His image and after His likeness. Everything under heaven, in heaven, on the earth, and beneath the earth is subject to Him.
The devotional message
He Upholds All Things
He upholds everything by the word of His power. Hebrews 1:3 says, "Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high" (KJV).
God Acts According to His Will
God has a will, and He acts according to His will. He makes His own decisions and does not consult anyone before doing anything. All things are subject to Him.
Our Responsibility
We are His workmanship. He fashioned us according to His will, and our responsibility is to make sure that we walk in His will.
We have obtained an inheritance from Him, and we have been sealed with the Holy Spirit. We belong to God. His life is inside us. We must endeavor to walk in His will.

I belong to You, and Your life is in me. Help me to walk in Your will each day, in my decisions, my words, and my plans. In Jesus' name, amen.
